Qatari
This reference genome is built from the Qatari whole-genome dataset registered under PRJNA288297, aggregating short-read WGS from Qatari nationals (~216 genomes in this dataset). Qatari genomes cluster within the Arabian Peninsula with marked substructure and elevated consanguinity, producing extended runs of homozygosity and drift-shifted allele spectra relative to neighboring Middle Eastern and South Asian groups. Here we collapse the study-wide SNP allele counts into a per-locus consensus genotype baseline and use it as a comparative anchor across populations.
