This reference genome is built from the gnomAD v4 — Genomes American (AMR) ancestry group, registered under PRJNA398795, aggregating short-read whole-genome data from admixed American/Latino individuals as defined in gnomAD’s v4 genetic-ancestry framework. American cohorts reflect varying proportions of Indigenous American, European, and African ancestries, producing characteristic admixture linkage-disequilibrium patterns and strong regional heterogeneity (e.g., Mexico, Caribbean, Central/South America, and U.S. Latine populations). Here we collapse the study-wide SNP allele counts into a per-locus consensus genotype baseline and use it as a comparative anchor across populations.
